Powerslam Forums Official Rules
Welcome to Powerslam Forums,
Below are the official rules of our forums. If you do not agree with the rules or do not intend to follow them please don’t even bother posting on our boards. We here at PSF take these rules very seriously and, depending on the severity of your offense, breaking them can get you banned without hesitation. There are no exceptions to these rules for any user group, they apply to EVERYONE.
Red Light Rules
Upon breaking these rules you will be dealt with immediately. Breaking the any one of the following rules is a serious offense.
1) Mild racism is okay once in a while but you must know when enough is enough. We don’t take any seriously hateful/discriminatory material lightly.
2) Posting pornography or shock sites is strictly prohibited. If the material you are posting is NSFW (not safe for work) it’s not wanted on this site.
3) Flaming and ranting isn’t allowed anywhere on this site. Take yourself and your negative attitude off these boards.
4) Harassing any member will get you banned, period.
5) Posting any material infected with a virus/spyware will get you banned immediately and without question. You will not be returning, so think twice, and then don’t post it.
6) Posting personal information about another member is prohibited. Respect the privacy and anonymity of others.
7) Making a hate thread or post about a previous warning/ban/suspension is prohibited. Take up those issues, privately, with the person who dealt the punishment, no one else cares. Making one of these threads/posts will result in a permanent 10% warning.
8) There’s no room on this board for advertising your forum. We worked hard to get our members and so should you. Advertising will get you banned.
Orange Light Rules
Upon breaking these rules you will be warned and sent a message by a moderator or admin. Please make an effort not to break them.
1) DO NOT post in all capital letters. It’s annoying so don’t do it.
2) DO NOT complain about others members. I’m sure there’s stuff we could say about you too; think about that before harping on others.
3) DO NOT make posts saying what needs to be done around the forums, someone’s probably already noticed anyway. If you have a suggestion, there’s a thread for that; use it.
4) DO NOT troll the forums looking for fights and kicking up old arguments. Leave well enough alone.
5) DO NOT carry a negative attitude through every thread. If the words bitchy and negative describe you, leave now.
6) DO NOT post in another language other than English. If you can’t speak a shred of English then don’t post. We don’t want any of our members feeling left out.
7) DO NOT remake a thread that was closed. It was closed for a reason, keep it that way.
Yellow Light Rules
These are more like guidelines than actual rules but continual ignorance of them will get you into trouble so abide by them anyway.
1) DO NOT post every retarded AIM or MSN conversation you have, that’s spam and will be dealt with as such.
2) DO NOT post FAIL or OWNED pictures without a decent post attached to them. That’s also spam.
3) DO NOT continually post with numbers and symbols. No one likes an illiterate so at least try to make posts with proper grammar and spelling. If you can’t do this then don’t bother posting at all.
4) There’s a proper place for every thread so find it, you have eyes. We don’t need our moderators constantly moving threads because you’re too lazy to post in the right section to begin with.
Some things to think about…
Everyone here is entitled to there own opinion so never make someone feel small or insignificant for stating what’s on their mind. There was probably a point in time when someone didn’t agree with your opinion either, remember that before belittling someone.
Before you reply to a thread, ask yourself if your post is constructive and if it contributes to the discussion. If it doesn’t, no matter how long it is, it will be considered to be spam; dealt with as such.
Every post you make is a reflection on you so before posting remember the rules laid out above. PowerSlam Forums is a community and we’d like to try and achieve a communal atmosphere; that means rules must be set forth and followed. The staff will enforce these rules to the best of their ability and if you try to smart ass them, no matter whom you are or what member group you belong to, you will be punished. Follow the rules and it’ll make your experience here a lot better.
